West Virginia Homeschool Support Groups

Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschool families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert School and the groups represented below.

This is a member-run group ministering to the needs of veteran and new homeschoolers alike. Our goal is that member families will continue to encourage each other as God directs the education of our children through information sharing, field trips, cooperative learning opportunities, monthly meetings, yearly evaluation, etc.

FAHST is an inclusive group of Christian homeschooling families serving north central WV. Members support one another by holding special activities monthly, mostly at Bible Fellowship Church in Fairmont. Parent-led co-op learning classes are held on Fridays for children of all ages. Membership is yearly for a small fee and includes a monthly newsletter. Some activities include Thanksgiving Dinner and Art Show, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, parent workshops and support, and Mom's Night Out.
