Washington, DC Homeschool Support Groups
Homeschool support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense of community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community among homeschool families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert School and the groups represented below.
BOLLING AREA HOME EDUCATORS (BAHE)
BAHE is an inclusive group of military homeschoolers on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, also known as JBAB and Bolling AFB. Our group is open to all military, active duty and retired, as well as DOD civilian families stationed at JBAB and the surrounding installations. We are open to all homeschooling philosophies. Every family is considered a small school where the focus is the investment of quality education and leadership for our children.
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON HOME EDUCATORS (BWHE)
This list is designed for Baltimore-Washington-Northern Virginia homeschoolers as an online community for open-minded homeschoolers in the region who are interested in participating in a community that represents a diverse range of religious, political, and philosophical beliefs. Our community also represents a wide range of ethnic groups, education levels, and socioeconomic classes. The one thing we have in common is an interest in trying to do what is best for our children and our family.
While we welcome all homeschoolers, we request that you respect the diversity of this group. This means that posts designed to promote a particular religious or political agenda are prohibited. Our intent is to provide a community where members can feel free to share homeschooling ideas and resources, ask questions, and find encouragement and positive attitudes!
DC COMMUNITY LEARNING NETWORK
